What is protected, and what is not

The service fetches source pages, so your browser never loads the onion page itself. Read what that protects, what it does not, and which risks remain.

Does your browser connect to the onion site?

No, not while you are reading extracted text. The service fetches the source page, and the reader displays that text and its source information without embedding the original site's scripts, frames or images. The live-retrieval deployment includes a separate mediator and bounded parser, and containment must be tested on the actual host before live retrieval is activated. This is one narrow property: it is not anonymity, not malware protection, and not a claim that a source is telling the truth.

What does this service not protect?

It does not make you anonymous. The service processes your question, and account, security and financial records have their own retention rules. It does not protect your device, scan for malware, or vouch for any publisher. It does not give an ordinary browser Tor Browser's privacy properties. Where a protection is not named on this page, treat it as absent rather than implied.

Opening an original

A citation is not a safe-site endorsement. Opening the original leaves the controlled reader. The destination can observe a connection and may present downloads, forms or misleading content. A normal browser does not acquire Tor Browser's privacy properties by using this app.

Legality and scope

Reading public onion information is legal in most jurisdictions, and this service is a research reader over public sources. That is a general statement, not legal advice, and not a blanket claim about every jurisdiction or every action. The legality guide sets out the distinctions that matter. Nothing here permits access to material that is unlawful where you are.

Limits that remain

The initial deployment package targets one KVM4 host. Process and network isolation must be verified on the actual installation and retain a shared-host failure risk. The service processes your question; it is not anonymous processing, a device security product, or a guarantee that a claim is true.

Report a problem

Use the security reporting form for a minimal reproducible description. Do not submit passwords, API keys, full private transcripts or harmful attachments. No response-time promise is made without a staffed support commitment.
